A real 5G core
you can break.

Not a simulation. Drive a genuine Open5GS + UERANSIM standalone core in your browser — attach UEs, open PDU sessions, inject faults, fly it over a satellite and cross a roaming border, with guided playbooks that verify every step against the live network.

100% real core — honestly scoped

The core is genuine Open5GS: real NGAP, NAS, PFCP and SBI signalling and a real GTP-U data plane that reaches the internet. Satellite mode applies true TR 38.821 delay to real packets. The only emulated layer is the radio PHY — the same pre-launch method operators use to validate cores before anything flies.

Everything in one core

The most complete browser-based 5G lab

One login, every scenario — from the SBA fabric to satellites and roaming.

Live SBA fabric

Watch all 12 NFs, the UE→gNB→UPF→internet user plane and the SBI bus update in real time as traffic flows through the actual core.

Satellite NTN New

Put the real core on a LEO, MEO or GEO link and measure how 5G behaves — GEO round-trip really hits ~541 ms, applied with tc netem per TR 38.821.

Roaming over N32

A full second visited-network core with SEPP-to-SEPP interconnect — see the 3GPP roaming border live in a browser.

Fault injection

Kill, delay or block any NF and watch the anomaly engine catch it — then heal the core and confirm recovery from the same signals.

Guided playbooks New

Step-by-step scenarios that verify each action against the live core — a self-teaching tutor, plus a searchable 5G glossary and AI assistant.

Real root terminal

A genuine shell on the core host with an explained command palette — tail logs, restart NFs, ping through the UPF, decode the ladder.

Trace & slicing

Click any NGAP/NAS/PFCP message to decode it, build eMBB/URLLC/mMTC slices and tune 5QI QoS with live per-flow meters.

KPIs & Grafana

Registration and PDU-setup rates, throughput, NF health — live dashboards straight from the running core’s Prometheus metrics.

Missions & XP

Gamified challenges auto-verified against real state — attach a UE, break & heal, master a slice, reach zero anomalies.

Hands-on, not slides

What you'll actually do

Real, verifiable exercises on a running network.

1

Bring a UE online

Trigger registration and watch NGAP → NAS → security → Registration Accept flow in the live ladder.

2

Push real traffic

Open a PDU session and ping the internet through the UPF — watch throughput counters climb.

3

Break & heal the core

Stop the SMF, catch the anomaly, restart it and confirm recovery — real NOC muscle memory.

4

Fly over a satellite

Switch to GEO and feel 5G at 35,786 km — then run a LEO pass with discontinuous coverage.

5

Cross a roaming border

Explore the SEPP-to-SEPP N32 interconnect between a home and a visited network.

6

Provision & slice

Add subscribers to the UDR and stand up dedicated slices with their own SLAs.

Is this a real 5G core or a simulation?

Real. It runs Open5GS with 12 live network functions and UERANSIM as the RAN — real NGAP, NAS, PFCP and SBI signalling and a real GTP-U data plane that reaches the internet. The only emulated layer is the radio PHY (and satellite propagation delay in NTN mode, applied genuinely with tc netem).

Do I need to install anything?

No. The entire lab — core, RAN, terminal and every visualisation — runs in your browser. Nothing to download, nothing to configure.

What will I be able to do?

Attach UEs and open PDU sessions, provision subscribers, inject faults and watch the anomaly engine, apply LEO→GEO satellite delay, explore roaming over N32, trace the message ladder, run slices and QoS — all guided by playbooks that confirm each step against the live core.

How do I get access?

LEXX Live issues a username and password per student. Once your access is active, log in here and open the lab from My Labs — the console launches instantly.

Can my team or organization get access?

Yes — multi-seat access for teams, universities and operators, with instructor support. Email support@lexx.com or call +1 888-330-9071.
